Physical Security

Physical security is the protection of different types of networks from physical acts, such as burglary, theft, natural disasters, vandalism, fire, terrorism, etc. This can be prevented by locking up your ICT room, setting up surveillance, disable the drives.



Access Security

This can be prevented by using password protection on mobile phones, PC's, etc. There are lots more examples of how to prevent access security but those are just a few different examples.

Data Security

Strong passwords can prevent data security problems, as well as, locking up your room with all your devices with important data on them.

LAN & WAN


LAN


LAN is an abbreviation of local area network.  The people that use local area network are the people in a specific local area.  LAN's cover small parts of an area such as, a specific site or building.

An example of an organization that uses a local area network is a school, such as Riddlesdown Collegiate High School.
+ get in touch with local people.
- It's a small network so you cant talk to many people.


WAN

WAN is an abbreviation of wide area network.  The people that use wide area network are people all around the world. 

An example of an organization that uses a wide area network is the internet.
+ you can socially interact with other people.
- you can get cyber bullied.
