What is a network

What is ISP?

ISP is the abbreviation of Internet Service Provider.  Internet service provider is a company that provides people with an internet access and other services.  The most common ways of connecting to the internet are by a phone line or broadband connection. Some examples of this are virgin media, sky, BT broadband, plusnet, O2 Wi-Fi, Vodafone, etc.

What is an IP address?

An IP address is also known as an internet protocol address. an internet protocol address is a string of numbers that are separated by full stops, and they identify each computer to communicate over a network.

How does the internet work?

The internet works as a information provider. Anything that is sent to a certain IP address is helped along by an ISP. This allows us to send texts, images, and other documents to different mobility devices.
